Who doesn’t like brownies! Especially if they are in a cute shape of a Christmas tree!
I admit, I was at Starbucks the other day and I saw these cute Christmas tree shaped brownies on display and I loved them! What I didn’t like as much was the price and the fact that my calorie intake for the day would probably be nearing its limit after eating one of these.
Not mentioning that I would have to eat this brownie hiding somewhere from my daughter who can’t eat them as they are NOT dairy free!
So here I am again, trying to figure out how to enjoy a snack without compromising on flavours but also making sure it is a great dairy free recipe, perfect for my little person.
I really enjoyed making these dairy free, sugar free, brownies and what made it all worth it was hearing Phoebe asking for ”mooooree”!
So there you have it, just in time for Christmas, dairy free, healthy version of the famous and popular brownie.
Instead of sugar I used dates, soaked in water and blended. I used cocoa powder instead of chocolate and the result was just fine. Before I put the mixture in the oven I sprinkled over some chopped pecan nuts for extra texture. To make these brownies a bit festive I sprinkled some sparkly cake decorations on top and used melted dairy free, white chocolate to create stripy pattern
